JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION of STONY BROOK

The Japan Karate Association of Stony Brook (Shotokan Karate Club) is an organization dedicated to teaching traditional Shotokan Karate. We are affiliated with the Japan Karate Association (JKA), a world-wide organization dedicated to encourage and assist students in their growth and understanding of Shotokan, and to promote the development of the art. It is also a member of Shotokan Karate-do International (SKDI). SKDI operates out of New York City and serves as the headquarters for many JKA clubs worldwide. Mr. MASATAKA MORI, 8th Dan, is our chief instructor and the website of the main dojo is www.jkany.org. The JKA of Stony Brook's instructor is MANO DALLAS, 4th Dan, Certified JKA instructor, Judge, and Examiner. We hold beginner's classes every semester for new members. New members may be allowed to join at other times, at the discretion of the instructor.

Class Schedule:

All classes are held at Stony Brook University's indoor sports complex

Monday: 7:30PM - 9:00PM
Wednesday: 7:30PM - 9:00PM
Sunday: 10:00AM - 12:00PM

                                 Monday classes are held in the martial arts room in the racquetball area.
                                     Wednesday classes are held in the martial arts room in the racquetball area.
Sunday classes are held in the dance studio.
